February Achievement Award Honoree: Dr. Chauncy Nelson

Dr. Chauncy Nelson, founder of Nelson Orthodontics, is a compassionate and skilled orthodontist dedicated to helping patients achieve the smiles they’ve always dreamed of. A graduate of Dillard University and Louisiana State University School of Dentistry, Dr. Nelson went on to earn his Orthodontics certification at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Before establishing his thriving practice, Dr. Nelson shared his expertise by teaching at the dental schools of the University of Alabama and UNC Chapel Hill. His extensive training includes a general practice residency at Charity Hospital in New Orleans and a prosthetics residency at the VA Hospital in Wilmington, Delaware

Dr. Nelson’s commitment to his profession is matched by his dedication to his community. An active member of Rotary International, he is deeply involved in service and outreach. Outside of his work, he cherishes time with his wife, Dianne, and their four children—Jeremy, Eli, Ana, and Michaela.
