Achievement Award Honoree: Dr. Heather-Dawn Lawson-Myers

For February, we proudly recognize Dr. Heather-Dawn Lawson-Myers as one of the 28 honorees for the Achievement Award.

Dr. Lawson-Myers is a dynamic leader and transformational coach with over three decades of experience in dentistry. A proud Jamaican, she honed her skills at Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington, D.C., before returning home to establish her practice, Liguanea Family Dental in Kingston. Her commitment to exceptional patient care and customer service has made her practice a cornerstone in the Kingston and St. Andrew metropolitan areas.

Beyond her clinical expertise, Dr. Lawson-Myers is a certified Maxwell Leadership coach and speaker, dedicated to empowering others through mentorship and transformative coaching. She serves on the management committee for the Dental Program at The University of the West Indies, where she plays a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of dental professionals.

Her dedication extends to developing accessible training solutions, including her online course series, Dental Assisting Made Easy, designed to help aspiring dental professionals thrive.

When she’s not advancing dentistry or coaching, Dr. Lawson-Myers enjoys modern dance, morning walks, and spending time with her family.
